Hi everyone, I was at the local Lifeway Christain Bookstore this weekend and came across a wonderful new resource that has me excited. It is a series called "iWorship." The funny thing is that my wife was at a "Women of Faith" conference and saw the same series being promoed and couldn't wait to tell me about it.
I say series because it is more than just a worship cd (although that it what I bought for now). The exciting parts are the accompanying materials you can buy. The newest thing is a set of worship DVD's. They feature songs found on the cd, but include beautiful background scenery. The user has several options (lyrics displayed/ no lyrics, full stereo/split track/or click track-> still not sure what that is). Each DVD contains 7 songs and costs from $20-$25. So far they have volume A and B completed and in stores.
Another part of the series is the songbook than contains all of the music. Included with the songbook is cd that contains computer files of all the lyrics. This will allow you to print them with or without chords.
The final part of the series (which I don't think is availble yet) is the accompaniment tracks for each song. Supposedly these will come with or without back ground voices and in several key options.
All in all, it sounds like a wonderful resource I am hopong to explore soon. I would recommned buying the CD's first. You get to hear the songs and a sample DVD is enclosed. Even if youdon't end up using the rest of the series, you have a great Worship CD.
