Message:I sm a divorced pastor whose ex wife tried twice to kill me (tried pushing me down the stairs saying 'I hope you break your f*ing neck'), punched out a tooth, and generally defamed my character in the community. She accused our younger son, publicly, of being a homosexual (he is not). My ex-wife is a 'born again' Christian raised in a conservative, evangelical church. She has committed assault on my sons and myself. Admitting that I am not perfect and that there are at least three sides to any story, she sought the divorce without a Biblical basis for doing so. She dated a 19 year old bi-sexual man. One of my sons said "Dad, if you had stayed married to mom, she would have killed you by now." How does her infidelity and abusive behavior disqualify me from ministry? It doesn't. I was a battered husband. I refuse to be a battered pastor. I am currently involved in an outreach ministry to people who have been abused or marginialized by their churches. God continues to work through me and, sometimes, in spite of me.
