I can only hope that you are not a pastor. Your theology is lacking, and you, like Brent, are legalistic at best. I read Brent's thread regarding his parents, and my heart goes out to him. For him this is an issue that strikes an understandably raw nerve. I do not agree with either of your hard heart approaches, but I find your attitude particularly appalling.

In your rant you refer to a new breed of religiosity, what ever that might be. You clearly seem to think that Don's compassion is indicative of flawed Christianity. If your attitude is indicative of some self-perceived faithful few, then I certainly welcome in the new. I'd rather further the kingdom with guys like Don, than hang with the frozen chosen.

I have no expectation that you would feel any shame for the venom you spew at Don. Your words speak volumes to the condition of your heart.
