Brother Jack,
I understand where you are coming from in your comments. And I commend you to want to keep things on Jesus. It is evident you have great passion for the Lord. However many dynamics come into play in a situation such as this.First off, check your own heart. Why have you decided it is up to you to correct a Worship Leader? Have you prayed to the Lord about this? If so, how did you pray? Are you truly seeking God's will in this matter? Have you given this over to the Lord and asked Him to take the appropiate action? If so, why are you then trying to take this back and "finish" the job? I could go on and on with several other questions, but I hope I have made my point.
So many times, good meaning Chrsitians get confused. We "feel" something is wrong with another's behavior and therefore need to "fix" it. Let God "fix" it. Maybe your faith is lacking and you need to learn how to believe God to do what He does best, fix people. Maybe this is nothing more than a task from God for you to learn patience and how to interact with others better than you do now.
Maybe the heart of the Worship leader is pure and he is simply attempting to encourage others. Maybe his way is not your way, but maybe it is still...a way that the Lord can use to help encourage the body. Maybe he is wrong... maybe he isnt and maybe he is being led by the Lord. What if he is? Then you are rebelling against God's direction in one of His vessels.
Have you discussed this with your pastor?
I see so much missing in your narration here and my years of experience and the Holy Spirit tell me you are in waters you ought to think very hard about. You may inject some deep hurt, for what reason? You are bothered by someone who gives encouragement to the body in a way you don't approve of.
By the way, how old are you? How long have you been saved? Are you baptised in the Holy Ghost and..how old is the Worship Leader. How long has your Worship Leader been saved? Is he baptised in the Holy Ghost? How long has he been a leader?
I have red flags over this. I suggest you have a talk with your pastor.
God bless you as you seek Him.
In Christ,
Pastor Ken
