Message:After reading your post, I appreciate your heart, both for wanting to stay focused on Jesus, and for honoring your Worship Leader.I have 2 suggestions. You could have a talk with him. Perhaps take him out to lunch. Tell him how much you appreciate him, and then discuss how you feel. I recommend that you phrase your comments with how it makes you feel when he directs comments toward the congregation rather than the Lord. This way you are not saying "You do this, or you do that". Another approach might be some positive encouragement when he does keep his focus on Jesus. Just a remark that you felt like your team really honored Jesus might encourage him to keep his heart on the Lord. Personally, I'd do the lunch thing. Hope this helps Jack.
