Women in Worship

I am learning more and more daily how to truly depend on God and not anything that I think I can do. It has been a year since my family and I have relocated to North Carolina from the Chicago land area. We have moved to begin our next assignment from our Father. My husband purchased a business here and the Lord really opened all the doors. From the church we attend to the house we live in, it is all God. When we first looked for a home, we wanted to make sure that the area in which we searched met the needs of our young ones in regards to a good school system. The Lord has been so gracious to us in leading us step by step. The entire process completely blows me away when I reflect upon it. Before we got here, we already had a church home; there was no need to search. I believe that it was because of the assignment God has placed us on that we did not have time to go looking for a church.

We were literally prayed here. Our First Lady had been praying that God would send committed ministers of music to the church. She told me of her personal prayers for the qualities she knew were necessary for the task. In the meantime, my husband and I prayed that God would order our steps in the move from school, to work, church, friends, relationships and the list goes on. I talked to my sister and told her of the move and the first thing she mentioned was our old friends from Arizona. Look how God works! The Lord sent them back from Arizona to their home in NC and they had begun to pastor a church at this time just under three years. I called her and we started to share and immediately there was a divine connection. From that point on, we saw the hand of God move for us in ways that are unexplainable except to say that God is truly in control. There was not a thing that we encountered that our Father did not go before us and open doors, have our enemies silenced and financial blessings overtake us. I was in amazement!

Even when we moved, one of the mothers’ of our former church drove down with us and helped us unpack and decorate. She was only there for a few days, but she and I put that house together. I was so grateful to her and she did it out of love, never wanting anything in return. Even after our arrival here we saw God make room for us. The church musician had just given his resignation to the leadership and we literally stepped into our season at our new ministry. Because of relationships and God’s love for us, He puts us where He knows we need to be. Our job is to be open to hear His voice and then be obedient to do what He says. I am finding out more and more each day to listen intently for the Lord’s voice, even in the little things. I encourage you in your daily time with the Lord; listen for His leading, step by step.
