Inner Healing for Broken Vessels
Sarah, Please forgive me for not responding sooner. I am a worshiper but not a worship leader. One of my spiritual children, Debbi Barnett, pastors the section for Women in Worship. Because she has been blessed by my writings she posted the article on the site. I want you to know that I did check the article a couple of time after they were first posted. This morning I felt an unction in my spirit to check the site. Lo and behold, there were several comments. I tried responding to your email at AOL but I guess you've changed it -- if you're reading this, send me and email at ATom383@aol.com.

I can identify with your testimony, although my molestation was by a family friend who lived down the street. As a result, for many years I allowed myself to be victimized by various men because of low self-esteem.
It was a vicious cycle and I was headed for self-destruction! But one day, the truth of God's Word sunk in and the devil was exposed for what he is.
At every opportunity I sow seed of healing to women who have been abused, sexually, physically or emotionally.

My heart was grieved as I read your email. If my heart was grieved so is Your Father in heaven. Don't beat yourself up -- you've not failed -- you did what you knew to do to protect your children. But now that YOU SEE! It is not too late if you release it to God and allow Him to bring healing, not only to you, but to your family also. I hear the Lord saying in my spirit just as He told David in 1 Sam 30:8, "Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them, and you shall surely rescue all." NAS

Have you read the book, "Released from Shame," by Sandra D. Wilson? If not I recommend that you read it.

Thank you and one minor correction
Hi! Wow, what a wonderful resource I have just found in this site. Wonderful articles that I can really relate to and are a help to me in my desire to reach out to others!
I especially appreciated this article,'Healing for Broken Vessels' because she spoke of so many things I myself had gone through and I looked up the scriptures the author mentioned - they are good verses to remember. I wanted to just let you know (and maybe you already know this by now)that the story of the woman who bled for 12 years is actually found in Luke chapter 8 not chapter 9.
Thank you for you these wonderful articles and words of encouragement! They are so very needed.

Thank you for this blessed article
This is truly a word of encouragement and it touched my heart. I pray that this article will touch the hearts of many others. I can feel the anointing of God from reading this article. Through your testimony many broken-hearted will be healed and captives will be delivered. Praise God!! Luke 4:18-19

Thank-you for Your Timely MSG--It applies to me
God must truly have worked through you to reach me. Having come from one of those "precious" Louisiana Southern families, I was molested by my father as a child, abused all my childhood by my backwards mother, victimized by various men as adult--due to lower than dirt self-esteem.
One sib was removed from the custody of my mother/father for his molestation of her but I guess the rest of us weren't worth saving from them. (No bitterness there huh?)My 2 other sibs "cracked" from it and are on Social Security Mental Disability.
I tried to "heal" myself thru the intellectualization (word?) of getting a degree in Psychology. In my efforts to help myself and to raise my own children better than I was raised--I've only succeeded in screwing them up, alienating them from everything that could HELP THEM--Psychology, God, ME!--I failed them--to me a crime!
With your msg I SEE--I SEE. And you are right on.
