Thank you for your honest sharing of this often secret sin. I have been divorced for four years. A minister's wife. Domestic Violence was everyday life for me as a child so going into an abusive relationship was "familiar". I was never beaten. However, the controlling, demeaning abuse was just as bad.
There were things I used to never understand in women, or why they stayed. I no longer criticize or look down on those women.
God has truly healed my life and I am finally in the final stages of this healing. However, I first had to recognize things for what they were and quit blaming myself.
