Support needed
Thank you. My church is small.. and we don't have musicians as our church members, so basically I don't have an in-house team. It's only me, and a keyboard player. My job assigned by the church is also as the head of PW dept. It's hard to keep everybody on schedule.. God knows how bad I want to have a bunch of worshippers in my team, and not just having skills. And I'm having difficult time to teach them this, as I'm also in my learning process. So, I guess I kinda need private consultation with you.. If you don't mind..

Thanks, I needed that!
Thank you for sharing your heart, for being honest, and for offering a fresh perspective on ministry as a musician.

I'm a full-time Minister of Music & Families and have been struggling for over 6 months about whether to stay or leave the ministry. The demands of recruiting teachers, soothing wounds, and trying to stay on top of things has worn me down. Your're so right about the leadership stuff taking over the music making. I want to make a commitment to God and myself to spend time singing and playing the piano. Thanks for your servant heart!

On the shelf - dusty and unused.
My daughter sent me your web address. This is a time I needed the words. I just retired, and it seems I have been retired from everything I've ever loved when it comes to being used for the Lord. I started singing when I was 12. Learned to play the guitar the same year. The Piano at 17. I taught my children to sing, and we had beautiful harmony traveling to churches over 3 states. I still have the desire to sing, play and worship with my gifts. There doesn't seem to be an opportunity. I am a student of the word and teach every sunday, but I'm missing the one of the most important elements of my life and that is to express my love for Jesus, and declare what He has done and will do, through Song. Thanks again for your word of encouragement today.

Praise & Worship Pastor
Thank you so much! This is so true. I have been on the Praise & Worship Team for approximately 7 years and after 5 years of doing back-up...the Lord spoke to me about leading. It has become such a burden in my heart. My whole attitude towards praise and worship has changed! I used to always minister with a special song. However, I haven't done so since I took over the Praise & Worship Team, which is close to a year now. Thank you, thank you. I know that the Lord wants me to be persistent in traning myself and studying to show myself approved.

Keep Prasin Him!
