Clean Your Gun, Part 2

Now the Lord said to Joshua, "Do not fear or be dismayed.
Take all the people of war with you and arise, go up to Ai; (emphasis mine)

Some time ago I wrote an article called Clean Your Gun, that focused on praise as a weapon, and how we should keep our weapon clean, in good working order, and always knowing how to use it. King Jehoshaphat used the praises of God as the nation of Judah headed to the battleground. In today's meditation, Joshua is preparing for battle with the small city of Ai. There is much more to the story, but for purposes of this meditation, God told Joshua to take the people of war with him. Who do you have who can go to war with you when things get rough? Who is in your camp who can help you praise your way out of your circumstances? Those who know how to fight the enemy with their praise live above their circumstances. Are there believers in your life who use their Bibles to train for battle, rather than for just looking sanctimonious on Sunday morning? Believers in Jesus Christ know that intentional prayer, praise, and worship to God is their life blood; they understand them to be weapons of war - weapons of breakthrough! (Psalm 107:15-16 NIV). In the spirit realm people of war are really people of the Word! They know how to take the sword of the Spirit (Eph. 6:17) and use it against our enemy, the devil. Take personal inventory for a minute. Are you a person of war?
