In Part 2 of our "Reasons to Praise" series, Daniel is praising God because God had revealed to him the mystery of King Nebachadnezzar's dream. This dream was quite troubling to the king; so much so that he sent for the wise men of Babylon to interpret, but they could not. In his anger, the king issued a death warrant to all of the wise men of that region. When the man charged to carry out the death warrant got to Daniel, Daniel did a bold thing. He asked the king to give him some time to interpret his dream. Daniel then got his three friends involved; Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah, and they prayed to God for mercy. When God revealed Himself concerning the king's dream, Daniel went into a private praise service. He began to thank and praise God for showing His wisdom and power.

Revelation is a good reason to praise God. Revelation will send you into God's presence, and God's presence will bring revelation.

Then Daniel did another bold thing: he went to the man appointed by the king to destroy the wise men of Babylon, and, in essence, said to him, "Don't destroy the wise men! Take me to the king and I'll tell him what he wants to know."

Today, if you need a reason to praise God, I'll give you two: praise Him for revealing your mysteries, and for giving you boldness when you need it that can only come from Him.
