Right on
As a worship leader and someone who works in the pro-AV industry, I've been on both sides of this fence, and I can tell you that one of those 4 buying scenarios is EXACTLY what happens in most churches. For some reason spending the right amount of time and money on quality AV equpment and installation is perceived as "bad stewardship", as if it's "good stewardship" to spend it on the wrong stuff, even if it is a lot cheaper. Best advice I ever heard was this: the most time and money you can ever spend is on something that doesn't work for you.

Finally! Somebody who gets it, explains it!
What a great article! I've been in church all my life, and I've seen each of the issues Metschke brings up in this piece. I just couldn't put my finger on it. He obviously has inside experience.
This is worth printing and distributing to all church staff and volunteers!
Is this guy for hire? Where is he from? And does he have more articles?
