great article don't forget monitor placement
Unless I missed it. Monitor placement is important when sharing a common mix. Those who want it louder can benefit from a raised monitor just put it on a chair to see if it solves the I can't hear problem. If it is too loud move it farther away. Usually not the case. Overall teh monitor need to pointed at the eyeballs If you can't see down teh horns throat you are too far away. New worship team members can be most uncomfortable at first but could benfit the most. (Is that what I really sound Like?) I like what you said about sticking your head in their mix. Often you figure out someone is too loud instead of one being not loud enough. I often tell teh worship team that they are pou tneutral into the monitor mix and they must adjust thier own volumes to create the best mix (If you can't hear the person next to you ? shhh a bit)
