Paul wisely adds that leaders should be also evaluated on the basis of their relationships with their families. Specifically, Paul asks, "how can someone lead a church if they can't lead their own families (1 Tim 3:5)?" Our families are in the best position to discern our character because we are with them day in and day out; they see us at our best and our worst.
