National Day of Prayer

As you may be aware, tomorrow (May 2) is the National Day of Prayer. Being under heavy conviction that our nation is in tremendous need of praying people AND the certainty that our Father in heaven listens to and HEARS our petitions, I am sending this email to all in my address book. I am encouraging you to participate in whatever way and to whatever extent you desire on behalf of our country and its citizens.

Following are some suggestions for your participation:

Join the Presidential Prayer Team...it's free and provides a weekly update on specific issues and people for whom you can pray. http://www.presidentialprayerteam.org/

Listen to the Nationally Broadcast Concert of Prayer. This national prayer meeting will be telecast live from Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C., New York City and Colorado Springs. It will air Thursday, May 2, 5-8 pm PDT, and 8-11 pm EDT. Check local listing for station information. For more info, click here: www.concertofprayer.org

Join with our country in praying the following prayer in unison on May 2 @ 12 noon. Dr. Lloyd Ogilvie, Chaplain of the U.S. Senate and member of The Presidential Prayer Team Honorary Committee has written the official prayer for the National Day of Prayer.

"Gracious God, all that we have and are is a result of Your amazing generosity. Since September 11th, in the battle against terrorism, we have discovered again that You truly are our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. We rededicate ourselves to be one nation under You. In You we trust. We reaffirm our accountability to You, to the absolutes of Your Commandments, and to justice in our society. Bless our President, Congress, and all our leaders with supernatural power. We commit ourselves to be faithful to You as Sovereign of our land and as our personal Lord and Savior. Amen."

May the God of Creation, the One Who sustains us daily bless you as You seek His Face!
