that's so true
I really agree with what you have said about worship. As a leader in my youth group, it is difficult to get the others to participate in worship(corporate). The music isn't so bad and we are supposed to be examples(1 tim. 4:12, I believe). I really believe that worship is an all the time thing, even though we don't always act that way. This was really encouraging...

setting bar too high?
I could infer from your piece about what real worship, or really worshiping, is to say that it only counts if one has been sincere and committed throughout a week. While I see your point, and would really like to agree with it, I think there is something to be said for at least setting a time each week (and then each day, and so on, and so on) when one does in fact worship God and get one's self headed in the right direction. If it "sticks" for the rest of the week does not, I think, indicate whether or not one was "really" worshiping.

Food for Thought
Great mini devotional for praise team and/or choir rehearsals! I particularly like what you said about not judging the worship experience by what you receive and not basing it on feelings.I recently started a new ministry as a music director. Most of the congregation is comprised of "baby" Christians. My first few weeks there, I almost got blasted into the San Francisco Bay for not racing through the music like the former director. (I prefer a more musical approach!) I was accused of causing the church to backslide. . . can you believe it? They didn't seem concerned with their response to the message or even the message itself. They equated a musical "high" with a worship experience. However, I and the praise team are leading by example, and I know that God is going to impress upon them what true worship is all about! You summarized my position beautifully.
