worship style to experience God?
I disagree with Bobby. I believe that we don't need to adopt a certain 'worship style', ie the type of music used, in order to have God with us.
God is with us, whether we FEEL Him or not. When we gather together in His name, He is in our midst.

Worship for everyone
I agree whole-heartedly with the article. I would like to share the experience we have had at our local church.
We began about 6 years ago to move to a more contemporary style of worship. We added a praise band and began to use a praise team. As stated in your article we began to have strife within the body about the worship style. However, we began to experience the presence of God in our services more than ever before. Our staff decided to continue down the path of contemporary worship and we began to loose some of the older traditional members of our church, but for every one lost we gained two new members. Our church doubled in attendance over a 4 year period. The problem was finances. The new members were not as affluent as those leaving and we saw a 32% drop in giving. This caught the attention of our staff and the decision was made to back-up to a more tradition contemporary mix. However, this caused the loss of the new members because they no longer experienced God as they had in the past. Today our church has almost shrunk back to its size 5 years ago, and I miss God. Give people God in your worship and you will be successful. You cannot serve both God and mammon.
