HIS STORY

If there was one word to describe Joel Engle it is passionate. Joel is in the passionate pursuit of the person of Jesus Christ. If one were to use words to describe the life of Joel Engle the words tragic, sorrow, redemption, forgiveness and victory come to mind.

Joel's life started out tragic. His father left his mother when Joel was only a month old and never came back. His mother was forced to raise Joel on her own by working hard as a single mother in San Francisco, California where she lived. Joel was faced with sorrow at 11 years of age when his mother suddenly died of a massive stroke. Days after Joel's mothers death, he moved to Oklahoma to live with his elderly grandparents. He lived with them for 3 and a half years.

After the death of his grandfather, his grandmother could not adequately take care of him so Joel placed himself in the Baptist Children's Home in Oklahoma City. He lived there for almost a year and a half.

At age sixteen, a miracle in social work happened; Joel was adopted by the Engle family in a small northern Oklahoma town. Soon after that, Joel met the saving power of Jesus Christ. The redemption had begun.

Yet even as a Christian, Joel experienced depression, rage, and confusion for many years. However, through his relationship with Jesus Christ, Joel slowly began to experience the grace, love, forgiveness and victory of God's promises to His Children.

For the last several years, Joel has had the privilege to minister to hundreds of thousands of people with his gift of music and with the life-changing message of God's Word. Also many other Christian artists like Point of Grace, SonicFlood, Charles Billingsley and others have recorded Joel's powerful songs of ministry. Also, Joel has just released his second worship CD called "Nothing Left of Me".

In 1997 Joel and his wife Valerie started spin360, a modern worship resource used by over 4000 churches worldwide! Only the Lord knows what is next for the ministry of Joel Engle but we are all excited and ready to watch!
