The Worship Leader's Retreat

If you are looking for an incredible conference to attend this fall, we encourage you to look into The Worship Leader's Retreat. This conference is not about the music and programming but worship. It is an awesome time of refreshing and fellowship.

What is the Worship Leaders’ Retreat?

A three-day retreat which offers refreshment and renewal for those in the ministry.

What is the schedule?

Retreats start on Sunday evening and end Wednesday at noon.

What makes the retreats unique?

We don’t focus on the "mechanics" of the ministry; we don’t "talk shop." We focus on developing and enjoying relationships – with God and others. A genuine sense of acceptance and preferring others permeates the retreat. The retreat is trans-denominational (over ten various denominations are usually represented). Some delegates have been in the ministry 40+ years, others have just begun. Some of the largest churches in America are represented, some of the delegates serve at churches with less than 150 members. Each retreat is limited to 80 delegates in order to preserve an intimate and caring environment. Long-lasting friendships are developed; 90% of past delegates continue to attend year after year. There are no hidden agendas, no product sales, etc…just a focus on relationships.

Who sponsors the retreat?

6Acts Ministry

What goes on at the retreat?

Times of transcendent worship.
Small group times.
Phenomenal meals and snacks.
Teaching times.
Whatchamacalit – fun and fellowship.

Who may attend?

What alumni say about the retreat.

Steven Polk, Farmers Branch Church

The most unbelievably well thought-out, well-organized, spiritually significant retreat or conference I’ve ever attended.

Michael Wierick, Fielder Road Baptist Church

I’ve attended every conference imaginable, but have never been so moved or so challenged as I was at the Worship Retreat 2001.

Ed Gillies, Mount Hope Church

This is one of the highlights of my year!

Mike Stewart, South Reno Baptist Church

This is the only retreat/conference that is non-optional for me.

Ryan Christian, Richland Hills Church of Christ

Jeff Nelson said the retreat was the spiritual highlight of his life. I wanted that to be the case for me but didn’t believe it could actually happen. The retreat exceeded my expectations and was the most worshipful, ministry impacting experience of my life.

Bill Simpson, Mount Ararat Baptist Church

I think one of the greatest blessings of the Worship Leader's Retreat is that it is so different from any other conference/retreat experience. It is smaller and more intimate in size. An especially refreshing thing is that there are no sales of anything--the books referenced were provided with the registration fee. The small-group times are very meaningful as well. I can't wait for next year’s retreat!

What previous speakers say about the retreat.

Sally Morgenthaler

I came to the retreat expecting to minister. I was ministered to in a way I’d never experienced: fifty worship leaders adoring God without apology and serving each other without restraint. It is a rare occasion when writers are without words, but that was one for me.

Judson Cornwall

The worship Leaders’ Retreat that Don McMinn sponsors is the most balanced and fruitful of any similar retreat where I have ministered. The spiritual tide is high, the practical side is useful, and the social fellowship is superb.

Jack Taylor

The pervading presence of god, the powerful sounds of voices united in praise and worship and the celebration of truth joined together to make it one of the greatest moments in my more than 50 years in ministry. I look forward to the next one.
